PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Six months after days of heavy rain flooded the Pawtuxet River, Senator Jack Reed stood near its banks to announce another infusion of federal cash to deal with the aftermath.
"We're announcing 13 million dollars in assistance for the state of Rhode Island," Reeds said.
The money, which comes in the form of a Community Development Block grant can be used for anything flood related. Warwick Mayor Scott Avedesian says some of the money will be spent buying damaged homes.
