Artscape: telling the story behind a medical mistake
By MEGAN HALL
PROVIDENCE, RI – When a medical error happens at a hospital in Rhode Island, we might hear about the basic facts- what went wrong and when it happened. But we rarely hear from the people behind those mistakes. For this month's Artscape, we speak to a playwright who explores their stories. Deborah Salem Smith is the author of Love Alone, a play about what happens after a routine medical procedure goes tragically wrong. She recently spoke with Rhode Island Public Radio's health care reporter Megan Hall.
