The Bottom Line: The state of offshore wind projects
By DAVE FALLON
PROVIDENCE, RI – Providence Business News Editor Mark Murphy joins Rhode Island Public Radio's Dave Fallon for a weekly business segment we're calling "The Bottom Line." Each Friday it looks at business news and themes that affect local business and the public.
This week, Dave and Mark talk with Jeffrey Grybowski, chief administrative officer of Providence-based Deepwater Wind.
The federal government has identified 285 square miles of federal waters between Block Island and Martha's Vineyard that are prime for offshore wind farms. Deepwater wind has applied to lease enough area for a 200 turbine wind farm, and leases could be offered by the federal government by the end of the year.
When to Listen
You can hear The Bottom Line each Friday at 5:50pm.
