Can arts businesses help bring Pawtucket back?

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Advocates say the arts can help put a city on the map, but can they also help put a city budget in the black? Pawtucket officials are hoping the answer to that question is yes.
They believe a growing creative community will help bring a new economic spark to their struggling city. For this month's Rhode Island Artscape, we look at efforts to turn a pioneer in the American Industrial Revolution into a beacon for arts-related business with a profile of glass maker Jill Davis and a conversation with Pawtucket Mayor Don Grebien.
