Gas Prices Still Going Up in Rhode Island
By Flo Jonic
Gas prices continue their upward spiral in Rhode Island. The cost per gallon rose three cents this week, according to AAA of southern New England. Prices are now 28 cents higher per gallon than a month ago.
A gallon averages $3.82. That’s a nickel more than it was at this time a year ago.
In Massachusetts gasoline is up four cents a gallon to $3.76.
Experts have cited refinery problems and worldwide demand as the reasons for the price spike.
