Navigating Sibling Relationships
By Deborah Becker
Providence – The relationships among siblings can be tense. But what happens when the relationship is marked by something different? The SibLink program at Hasbro Children?s Hospital is designed to help children and parents navigate the relationship when one sibling is chronically ill or disabled. 124 children have taken part since it began seven years ago. Dr. Deborah LaBotto, Director of Psychology at Hasbro Children?s Hospital and Director of the SibLink spoke with WRNI?s Deborah Becker. She says these sibling relationships are similar others.
