San Bento leads — by one vote! — in recount; hearing Wednesday

A recount today by the state Board of Elections shows a one-vote lead by state Representative William San Bento over challenger Carlos Tobon, according to board chief Robert Kando.

San Bento, who has held office since first winning election in 1992, had a three-vote lead in an earlier count.

A hearing requested by Tobon before the votes are certified is set for 10 am Wednesday, Kando says.
