Time Spent At Ground Zero
By Stephen Belter
Providence, RI – Six months after the collapse of the World Trade Centers some Rhode Islanders who volunteered weeks or months to the rescue effort gathered to talk about their shared experience. They met Monday night in Providence.
About 20 people, who volunteered through the Red Cross, attended. Each had a unique experience. All said that they were glad that they went New York.
These recollections of their experiences were heard on WRNI's Morning Edition. They were recorded and produced by WRNI's Stephen Belter.
