What is your favorite WRNI/NPR program and why?
Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! The news gets to be a bit much at times (even
for me) and I know I can rely on the folks at Wait Wait to spin it in a
way that appropriately informs and mocks!!
Please share your most memorable driveway moment.
I never have driveway moments anymore because my car, house, backyard
and phone are all wired to receive WRNI seamlessly. (Thanks for
streaming and being ahead of the app curve!)
How did you discover WRNI?
Being an addict, not knowing was just not an option. When I moved here
from Utah, I had to research where my next fix would come from and NPR’s
website led me right to you.
Who is your favorite NPR/WRNI personality and why?
I adore Scott Simon. He is equal parts genuine and genius, what more
could I say?
What inspired you to support WRNI?
I drink the kool-aid everyday, and WRNI’s very existence buoys me in
ways I could never describe to a non-believer. Besides, what else would I
have to talk about without sentences that started and ended with, “Did
you hear the story about _______ on NPR today??”
What does independence mean to you?
It means expanding while everything else around you is contracting. It
means I know I can count on WRNI to cover RI in ways other news sources
are either unable to or unwilling to in the new media reality where
outlets are consolidating and cutting.
Describe WRNI in 3 words:
Reliable. Smart. Focused.
Describe pledge drives in 3 words:
Do I have to??
